The never-ending journey...

When you are young and ambitious, you might have said the phrase, "I just want to get to my perfect size", or "I want to look more like (insert your physical idol at the time)". As we get older, you might hear yourself saying, "I just want to be able to keep up with my kids or grandkids" or "I really don't want to physically hurt anymore." The moral of the story is, we really never stop having health and fitness goals because our mental and physical beings are always evolving and so are we. There truly is no end goal, but more of a season of what do you want or need to focus on right now.
In my thirties I ran primarily outside, and it felt great because it was never easy for me when I was younger and the fact that I could run without falling over felt emotionally and physically amazing! Fast forward to today, you will generally only find me running if someone is chasing me. My knees are not the same, and my body is in a season of strength and recovery. And to be honest, I do not mind that I have moved on from that season. I have big goals that I have set for myself this year and I am excited about them!
A big part of the journey is simply understanding how we focus on what's in front of us. If you waist time

thinking about what you used to be able to do instead of embracing what you want to work on right now, you miss an enormous opportunity to grow physically, emotionally and mentally. This can be said in all areas of life which is why I love the correlation of physically taking care of my body so much.
So, the question is, what are you currently working on and how are you approaching your goals? Remember that our thoughts can become things, so treat yourself well!
